Hello there to everyone

I have just brought a 08 Clubman in PW with hot chocolate half leather interior, with piano black trims.

The thing is it also has the PW roof not black like many others?
I'm not sure what to do with the roof? Thought i could do it Black and PW checkered or Silver/Black union Jack?
What do you all think i should do?

welcome aboard ;)

as for your roof dilema :? ....i would avoid adding another colour(silver) unless your rear pillars are silver, black roof with PW check sounds good... log onto minipirate.com and see what phil can do for you or have a look at his galleries in the sponsored sections on totalmini.com

dont forget to post up some pics of your clubbie ;)

I don't think i will have the car until the weekend as im based near Chelmsford i done a group stock check to find it with Cooper mini main dealers. The one i found was in Tunbridge Kent so they are getting down to my local deal in Chelmsford today so i can go over the car with them before i collect it.

Only had a original mini clubman when i was 17 ( god that seems a long time ago, 38 now) i also have a 56 plate Range Rover Vogue in all black as my family car, the mini is to save a bit of fuel as i will use the mini more.
I filled up my Range Rover last night and it came to £110  and i only get 500 miles to a tank so i'm sure i will notice the difference in the Cooper D.

As for the spec of the mini i'm not up on all the correct terms yet so i will have a go from the spec sheet i have with my invoice.
I gave £14000 for it it seemed cheap for a cool little cat

Mini Cooper D Clubman 1.6 2008

Pepper White
Cloth/Lea Ray Hot Chocolate
Multi Function Steering wheel
Heated Mirrors/Washer jets
Heated Screen
Chrome line interior
Colour line cream white
Interior trim piano black
Interior world Hot Chocolate
Visibility pack
Roof in body colour
Black bonnet stripes
Additional Decor rings
Auto dim interior mirror
Rain sensor and lights on
Hi fi speaker system
Full Bluetooth with USB
White indicator lenses
From centre arm rest
Chilli Pack

Ok there you go thats just how it is on my paperwork, sorry i'm new to the Mini experience.

I will be getting new wheels as the ones on it are Star like?
I also want the Cooper S style filler cap(where do i get this and what do they charge?)

Hiya and Welcome to The Clubman Register 8-)

It sounds like that spec includes all the right toys :geek:

If you're in Essex, you might also want to check out www.EastCoastMiniClub.co.uk ;)

Welcome to the Register :P

Good spec, sounds nice 8-) As for the roof I would say stick with black /white checks and perhaps get matching bonnet stripes.

The dealer will happily do the fuel cap but charge a bit i expect. It is a common mod so do a search on totalmini or mini2 and im sure you will find a how to guide.

Hi Matey and welcome to the site :)

That sounds a great spec, have you picked it up yet :?:

Phil at minipirate will help with the roof and designs :)

Mark on here has done the "S" filler think he said it was fairly easy :)

Enjoy the Clubbie Adventure :D 8-)

Hello :) Black & White checkered roof sounds good ;)
To make it feel real different to the Range Rover why not lower it.

Yes i collected the car on Friday at midday!!!!!!!!

I have to say that Jacki at Cooper Chelmsford was a great person to deal with and even took me step by step through every function on the car.
Great dealership. Top marks

Anyway the car, all i have to say is???? i actually like it better than my £41000 Range Rover Vogue? No honest.

Love it just love it and the fuel consumption is truly amazing too.
I also found out it has the 5 year free servicing too

Mods so far include:
Limo black privacy glass with 50% tint on front windows.
Check side scuttles
Gloss black mirror covers
Cooper bonnet stripes
"Clubman" letters on rear under Cooper badge
Black Cooper D tax disc holder
John Cooper signature stickers on front of doors at the bottom in black

The car is booked in at BMW on the 19th March to have roof checkered and cooper S filler cap fitted oh and cooper clubman S white high level brake light.

Roof costing £250 supplied and fitted
Filler cap costing £150 supplied painted and fitted
White high level brake light costing £100 supplied and fitted
Quite cheap i thought.

Next mods included:

17" Alloy wheels please follow link below and tell me what you think?

http://www.minipax.co.uk/product_info.p ... by-konig-2

I will get some images hopefully tomorrow then i will need help to add them on here please?

Cheers everyone and speak soon.

i reckon those wheels will look great, you'll need to lower the car though ;)

i'd advise if you can hold off fitting the wheels for a few weeks or so until they stop spreading salt this will preserve your wheels and the polished lip ;) , i'm having to pretty much clean my wheels off to get the salt off everytime i use the car

get some 'poorboys' wheel sealant to help protect them, i've used it a few times on my wheels and they continue to look great. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-an ... rod_9.html

looking forward to the pic's of all your mods ;)
