Im thinking about doing a few engine mods in the near future, I dont want anything too mad and it must look standard ;) I dont want massive gains (yet  ) just to free everything up thats already there.

The stealth cat mod is a definate but a few TM members keep posting about an intercooler resonator delete pipe. There seems to be two main manufacturers, forge and M7 both make it seem simple and effective. MiniMania also do a similar idea however not an all in one pipe just part removal.

Czar, i see on your post signature you stock Forge products so can i ask your thoughts on this mod and is it worthwhile? Also on previous posts you mentioned producing a stealth cat mod, any more news on this and again do you think its worthwhile?

Any thoughts or ideas will be gratefully recieved :D

I too was thinking about a mod like that, but being on a bit of a budget at the moment, didnt want to shell out for a complete pipe. I'm liking the Mini Mania idea 8-)

The resonator delete hose is a must for a cheap performance power gain, the Forge RDH is very good as is the Samco too, both do exactly the same job, however I am currently at the Autosport Show at the NEC Birmingham, and not able to supply either until I return ( weather permitting) I am in the early stages of a performance turbo downpipe with/without performance cat, also working on the correct solution to stop the CEL light from coming on too, when a performance turbo downpipe is fitted.

:o That one is a bit expensive, you could buy the complete silicon replacement pipe for that money!

I thought that and looking through their other products they do seem a tad dearer than other suppliers.

The Forge is still top of my list and gotta be the black for the stealth look ;)

I ordered one of the cheaper ones from MiniMania this week. The order went through, but then I got an email from the American side :(

Quote:
Hello,
Our minimania UK location is currently undergoing restructuring and will not be able to process your order. No deposit has been charged towards this order. You can reorder from our US location by going to www.minimania.com . Just keep in mind shipping cost may be higher and customs & duties may apply.
Regards,
Ed D’Arata
Sales Manager

So I had a look at the .com site, and the same replacement pipe section is $99.95!!!

Looks like the resonator is staying until I save up for a silicon hose set

Guys, if there is enough interest in the Samco 5 piece turbo hose kit (this includes the resonator delete hose! and I have 1 kit in Black in stock) then I will do a price for a group buy.

The retail price is £211.50 inc VAT, this will not be my price! I am not going to post the final price till I have some idea of initial interest, however this said it will be a good saving, just let me know who might be interested.

Right guys, in an addition on the above Samco turbo 5 piece hose kit, I have a offer and this will benefit all of you interested!

I can supply you with just the Samco resonator delete hose in any colour for; £66.51 inc VAT :P (White or Silver 15% extra)
Or if this is still to expensive! I have have posted in the group buy area on Mini Torque to reduce the cost even further with volume interest!

I'd be interested in the 5 hose kit, I was only going with the replacement section as a cheap stop gap until I had more funds ;)

Have you posted up about the group buy for the 5 hose kit on Mini Torque?

As for the Samco 5 piece turbo hose kit, I have not posted a group buy on any other forum, I didn't think anyone would be that interested on a full kit due to the price!

That's why I thought it might be better to offer just the resonator delete hose, this is the most beneficial component in the kit, and the most popular.

The reason for posting the group buy on Mini Torque is, visiblity volume, also if you join the group buy it will be cheaper all round!

If in future there is anything anybody requires, ask me! As I am stockist/supplier of many many performance components, much much more than in my signiture, remember I have been in the racing industry for 26 years, I might be able to save you money and much wasted time searching the Internet.
