Hello guys, not sure this will be of much use to most Clubbie owners, however I now the components to push the fuel limitations of BIG power requirements over 290BHP, these are the fuel injectors and high pressure fuel pump, I can now start to push for those BIG numbers, and watch the R53 owners start to loose the power battle.

But what sort of power do you think the standard gearbox will take? :ugeek:

Well that has to be seen, the driveshafts should snap before the gearbox breaks! According to the manufacturer Getrag, the gearbox max torque is 400NM :o oh dear if this is the case then it looks like I am going to break it, along with the standard driveshafts

Roughly, which would you need first, the pump and injectors or the gearbox and driveshafts?

I ask because I havent a clue what the standard torque is, and I dont have my power graph with me :(

If you increase your engine's HP and Torque, then after you destroy your standard clutch, then having replaced this with a performance one, your driveshafts and or constant velocity joints (CV's) will be next or at least should be! This again is determined by the sort of initial shock loading the drivetrain is subject to.
As for injectors and pump, I doubt very much this will ever be necessary to any Mini owning forum reader, mainly due to cost, a set of injectors will set you back £1,200.00 each! They are so expensive due to this being brand new technology, and each is hand made, if your serious about racing your mini and want BIG power then this cost will be justified.
